BREEDER HEALTH GUARANTEE
We provide the following health guarantees for every Doberman puppy purchased from us:
1. General Health Guarantee (72 Hours)
We guarantee that your puppy is free from contagious and serious infectious disease (e.g., Parvovirus, Distemper) for a period of 72 hours from the time the puppy leaves our care.
- Veterinary Examination Required: The Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within these initial 72 hours.
- Procedure: If a licensed veterinarian finds the puppy to be unsound or suffering from a contagious disease during this 72-hour window, the Buyer must notify us immediately and provide a written statement from the examining vet. We reserve the right to have a second veterinarian (of our choosing and expense) confirm the diagnosis.
- Remedy: Should the diagnosis be confirmed, the Buyer may return the puppy(we will pay for the logistic) for a full refund of the purchase price or choose a replacement puppy from the available litter or a future litter.
2. Genetic and Hereditary Health Guarantee (36 Months)
We offer a 36-month (two-year) guarantee against severe, life-altering, or debilitating genetic and hereditary conditions, which specifically includes:
- Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM)
- Wobbler’s Syndrome
- Severe Hip or Elbow Dysplasia (requiring surgical correction)
- Any other inherited condition that would require euthanasia or significantly impact the dog’s quality of life.
Conditions for the 36-Month Guarantee:
- Proof of Diagnosis: The Buyer must provide clear, documented evidence from a board-certified specialist (e.g., certified cardiologist for DCM, orthopedic specialist for Dysplasia) or a VET confirming the genetic condition.
- Owner Care: This guarantee is void if the dog has been neglected, abused, overweight, excessively exercised before three years of age.
- Required Health Maintenance: The Buyer must maintain the dog’s annual veterinary visits and follow all necessary preventative care and feeding protocols.
Remedy for Genetic Condition:
If a qualifying genetic condition is diagnosed within the 36-month period, we offer one of the following remedies:
- Replacement Puppy: The Buyer will receive a replacement puppy of equal value from a mutually agreed-upon future litter. The original dog may remain with the Buyer or be returned to us, at the Buyer’s discretion and our agreement.
- Refund: A refund of up to the full purchase price (contingent upon the severity of the condition and the dog being spayed/neutered and documentation provided to us).
🛑 What This Guarantee Does Not Cover
This guarantee covers the core health of the dog but is not an insurance policy for general care. It does not cover the following:
- Normal occurrences such as parasites (worms, giardia, coccidia), fleas, or kennel cough.
- Injuries, accidents, or illness caused by the dog’s own actions or environmental factors after leaving our care.
- Minor cosmetic issues, umbilical hernias, or issues that do not impact the dog’s quality of life.
- Temperament or behavioral issues, as these are primarily the result of environment, training, and socialization after the puppy leaves our facility.
- Medical expenses, veterinary bills, or treatments incurred by the Buyer. This guarantee applies only to the cost of the puppy itself.
📝 Buyer Obligations (Guarantee Validity)
To keep this Health Guarantee valid, the Buyer agrees to the following:
- Provide the puppy with routine veterinary care, including all required vaccinations and parasite control.
- Provide adequate food, shelter, and proper care throughout the dog’s life.
- Ensure the dog is not excessively exercised (high impact running/jumping) until at least 6 months of age to protect developing joints.
